Dr. Yixuan Zhang

Yixuan Zhang is a Postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Chinese Studies, Freie Universität Berlin, working on the ERC project 'Digital Governance in China.' Her postdoctoral research employs cutting-edge research methods to illuminate the application of digital innovations in anti-corruption activities in local China and their impact on actual corruption control and public support.
She earned her doctoral degree in Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh, an MPhil degree in Government and Public Administration from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and a bachelor's degree from Fudan University. Her research interests focus on political communication, public opinions, digital governance, and (anti)corruption in authoritarian regimes, with regional expertise in China.
